New E-Commerce Platform Launched!
May 14, 2009Kung Fu Nation is one of our oldest and most interesting clients. They offer screen printing and fulfillment services to a wide range of clients including The White Stripes, Wilco, Sonic Youth, and Tenacious D (hell yeah, Tenacious D!). As the services expected by their customer base has expanded, the Zen-Cart system we built for them a million years ago began to show it’s limitations. Kung Fu needed a lean, mean new platform that could handle massive traffic spikes and allow for nearly total customization of multiple store fronts.
We created a Ruby on Rails platform that gives Kung Fu the flexibility they need to remain competitive in their market. Over the next few weeks we’ll be helping them migrate their existing clients to the new platform and soon we’ll have their main site on the new platform. Look for another announcement and a portfolio addition when we complete that project.
