In-depth
Imp Designs jumped at the opportunity to work with The Justice Theater Project, an advocacy, activist theater group. Their mission is to use theater to provoke dialog on such social themes as the death penalty, racism and the plight of the working poor. We felt their logo needed to exude the controversial nature of the subjects they explore. With this goal in mind, we created the logo with a ragged text treatment and a Rorschach-like blob. Is it the fallen tear from the mother of a death row inmate or a blood spatter from the victim of racially motivated crime? It all depends on your point of view—exactly the sort of dialog The Justice Theater Project hopes to bring to the community.
In addition to the logo, Imp Designs has also created their print ads and their website.
