ExpressionEngine
In-depth
We’ve been working with State Law Resources since we were still working out of the back room of the print shop in 1999. We designed their logo, have laid out numerous member directories, meeting invitations and registration forms, letterhead, business cards… you name it.
Finally we were given a chance to redesign their website. If you’ve been reading our portfolio stories, you’ve probably already guessed we used ExpressionEngine to manage the content. But this site really shows off EE’s built in capabilities. There’s a member login area that participating firms can enter to exchange leads, view information about the next meeting, download SLR marketing materials, view board meeting minutes and more. And each firm has a login they can use to edit their own information.
On the front end, we leveraged the power of Google maps to give a visual representation of the distribution of the group’s membership and links to the firm information. Visitors can sort member listings by firm name, location, or region. Each firm listing includes information about the attorneys and their expertise.
This was a challenging project, mostly due to the large amount of data involved. We continue to tweak the site, but we continue to tweak all the sites in our care. Recently we recommended iContact for their email newsletter and we helped set up a template that reflects the look of the site.
