We’ve been working with the Regional Public Transportation Authority in Phoenix, Arizona since April of 2008. Our first job was to convert their existing site into an ExpressionEngine driven site. Despite a rocky launch, we were asked to design a micro-site for their new LINK service. The site content is primarily controlled by ExpressionEngine, but it also features content created by a custom Ruby on Rails application we built for RPTA staff. This custom app allows staff to manage the content of the Flash banner on the home page and also allows them to create the quick polls that appear on the home page. Integrating these components within the EE driven site was quite a challenge. We stumbled across a bug in Internet Explorer that’s been know to Microsoft since IE 5.5—really MS… since IE 5.5????—but we worked it out.
We’re currently working on a re-skinning of the Valley Metro site which will launch in late December along with the new Metro Light Rail service. I can’t wait to post THAT project here!
