We were introduced to You Lucky Dog! by Bud Coggins of Coggins Sales & Marketing. The owners of the doggy daycare and boarding business were working with Bud to develop their marketing plan, and Bud recommended them to us for their logo and corporate identity work. They wanted their logo to reflect a certain amount of playfulness while still giving some visual connection with their business. “No shamrocks!,” was their only request. We developed several different looks for them and then refined their favorite. A couple of sessions with the Pantone swatch book settled the colors, and we designed their letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and application forms.

Not every job goes according to plan. After the letterhead had gone into production, You Lucky Dog! discovered an error in the address. They had approved the artwork prior to going to press, but it wasn’t correct and required reprinting. We negotiated a reduced rate from the printer and asked the printer to cut off the address area on the incorrect letterheads and create note pads from the remaining stock.
