The ease and speed in which we were able to move from concept to working prototype blew every other programming language away, so we hunkered down and started getting righteous with Ruby on Rails. So what is this Ruby on Rails stuff anyway and what does it mean to the non-geeky? It’s a web development framework that enables us to build anything you can imagine. We’ve built custom e-commerce solutions like Kungfunation, simple sites like Steve Mallin’s, a job board site, a site for customizing dinnerware, a mechanism for managing flash banners, online tools for managing contests, and our own internal time tracking software, Chronotracker.
