Project Information
The Jobfinderusa.com site is the online extension of Prism Publishing’s Jobfinder print publications. The site displays all the ads from the company’s 8 markets and allows visitors to create accounts which they can use to create resumes and apply to job listings. Employers can create accounts and purchase credits which can be redeemed for online job postings.
The site is our most ambitious Ruby on Rails project yet. If we had chosen PHP/MySQL for this project, we’d probably still be in development. Ruby allowed us to be flexible enough during development to address issues that weren’t obvious to us or our client during the proposal writing process.
